MADISON, WI -- The Lapham-Marquette Parent Teacher Group (PTG) in partnership with the Madison Public Library will host a free virtual summit on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 11 am - 1:30 pm. This participatory online gathering will bring together families and community members to learn and share knowledge, build people power, and plan collective actions in support of the schools that all children deserve. 

The virtual event will kick off with an opening keynote address by Chicago Alder, community organizer, and public school advocate, Jeanette Taylor. Grounded in her tremendous leadership and experience over the past decades, Taylor will speak on Families Building Relationships & Power in the context of public schools. Subsequent interactive small-group sessions will provide opportunities for participants to discuss issues, share their knowledge and experiences, and strategize collective actions.
