Starting March 31, 2014, private utility companies including MG&E, ATC, and Charter Communications will be installing buried facilities on East Johnson Street at Butler, Hamilton and Livingston Streets.  This work precedes the East Johnson Street reconstruction project that has a preliminary start date of May 6, 2014. 
 
The schedule for the utility work is:
 
March 31 thru April 4  –   Begin work in the intersection of East Johnson, N. Butler and N. Hamilton Streets. East Johnson Street will be reduced to two eastbound lanes at the intersection. The north leg of N. Butler Street will be closed to through-traffic.
April 4 thru April 6    –   Perform weekend work in the same intersection (East Johnson, N. Butler and N. Hamilton), including nighttime hours.   East Johnson Street will be reduced to one lane in the eastbound direction.  The north legs of N. Butler Street and N. Hamilton Street will be closed to through-traffic.
April 7 thru April 11   –   Begin work at the intersection of East Johnson and N. Livingston Streets.  Traffic on East Johnson Street will be reduced to one lane eastbound.  The south leg of N. Livingston Street will be closed to through-traffic.
April 11 thru April 13 –   Perform weekend work in the intersection of East Johnson, N. Butler and N. Hamilton Streets. E Johnson Street will be reduced to one lane in the eastbound direction.  The north legs of N. Butler Street and N. Hamilton Street will be closed to through-traffic.
April 14 thru April 18 –   Continue work at the intersection of East Johnson and N. Livingston Streets.  Traffic on East Johnson will be reduced to one lane eastbound.  The north leg of N. Livingston Street will be closed to through-traffic.
 
Traffic delays are expected during afternoon peak hour times.
