S&L Underground along with MG&E will close lanes of East Johnson Street at the Pinckney Street intersection in order to install underground utilities in association with the North Pinckney Street reconstruction project.  The expected lane reductions are as follows:
 
Monday, May 18 thru Friday, May 22 — one lane of traffic open from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, two lanes of traffic open from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
 
Saturday, May 23 thru Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day) — two lanes of traffic open.
 
Tuesday, May 26 thru Friday, May 29 — one lane of traffic open from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, two lanes of traffic open from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM Saturday.
 
7:00 AM Saturday, May 30 thru 3:00 PM Monday, June 1 – one lane of traffic open.  At 3:00 PM, Monday, June 1, East Johnson will be fully open to three lanes of traffic.  
 
Traffic delays are expected throughout the day during this period, especially during the morning and afternoon peak travel times.  Eastbound through-traffic is encouraged to use an alternate route of West Johnson Street to Bassett Street to West Washington Avenue to the Outer Loop to East Washington Avenue.
