Crews will be working a 10-hour day

On Saturday, November 25, the Streets Division will perform curbside yard waste collection. Crews will be working a 10-hour day on November 25.

Due to the lateness of the season, and the number of yard waste piles still at the curb, Streets Division staff determined that crews should work this upcoming Saturday in order to maximize the amount of material that can be picked up before the collection season ends.

Since crews are working Saturday, November 25, residents are encouraged to use the pickup schedule maps on the Streets Division’s yard waste website to track the progress of crews and learn when to set out material to ensure collection.

Residents with yard waste are also reminded that they can take their material to one of the yard waste drop-off sites. The sites are located at 1501 W. Badger Rd, 4602 Sycamore Ave, and 402 South Point Rd. These sites are open seven days a week from 8:30am until 4:30pm, and until 8:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These hours will remain in effect until 4:30pm on Sunday, December 3. Winter drop-off site availability begins on Monday, December 4.

Residents are also reminded about the Thanksgiving holiday. The Streets Division will not be performing curbside collections on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24. The drop-off sites will also be closed on November 23 and 24. The drop-off sites reopen for the above stated hours on Saturday, November 25.
