During the day, on Friday, July 21st, InterCon Construction will close eastbound traffic on the 1100 block of East Mifflin Street (between Ingersoll Street and Few Street) in order to install underground Madison Gas & Electric utilities.  The closure is expected to last three weeks.

Eastbound traffic will remain closed on the 1200 block (Few Street to Baldwin Street) until 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25th for milling and paving.

Pedestrian access will remain open. The Few Street intersection will remain open to traffic.  Bikes should use the signed bike detour on East Dayton Street.

This is part of the Madison Gas & Electric underground utility project on East Mifflin Street that includes the three blocks between North Ingersoll Street and North Dickinson Street.

The East Mifflin Street intersections of North Baldwin Street and North Dickinson Street will also need to close for approximately two weeks each during this project. The intersection closures will not occur simultaneously.
