Effective Sunday, September 2

On Sunday, September 2, Metro Transit and the City of Middleton will roll out new service in Middleton. New service will:

• Route 70 off-peak service connects the new Middleton Transfer Point and the Capitol Square via Terrace and Southridge. Trips operate hourly mid-days and evenings. Route 70 will also have hourly trips on Saturdays, operated as a loop from the West Transfer Point via Terrace and Southridge (requires change of buses at West Transfer Point to reach Capitol Square).

• Route 71 peak service connects the new Middleton Transfer Point and the Capitol Square via Terrace. Trips operate every thirty minutes towards the Capitol Square in the morning rush hour, and towards the Middleton Transfer Point in the afternoon rush hour. See Route 74 for description of trips heading towards the Middleton Transfer Point in the morning rush hour, and towards the Capitol Square in the afternoon rush hour.

• Route 72 peak service connects the new Middleton Transfer Point and the Capitol Square via Southridge and Branch or via Allen and Airport. Trips operate every thirty minutes. All trips in the morning rush hour operate towards the Capitol Square via Southridge and Branch, and return towards the Middleton Transfer Point via Allen and Airport. Trips are reversed in the afternoon rush hour.

• Route 73 peak and off-peak service connects the new Middleton Transfer Point and the West Transfer Point via Greenway and Deming. Trips operate in both directions every 30 minutes during peak periods and hourly during mid-day and evenings.

• Route 74 peak service connects the new Middleton Transfer Point and the Capitol Square with the Middleton Business Park. Trips operate between the Middleton Business Park and Middleton Transfer Point every 30 minutes. Limited stop service operated every 30 minutes connects from the Capitol Square to the Middleton Transfer Point in the morning rush hour, and from the Middleton Transfer Point to the Capitol Square in the afternoon rush hour.

In addition to new Middleton service, Metro will also implement new service to Fitchburg, changes to Routes 1, 2, 11, 19, 34, 44, 48, 52, 55, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74 & 80 and adjustments to most other routes.

A new Metro Ride Guide and System Map are now available at mymetrobus.com. Hard copies are currently being printed and will be available in the middle of August.
