Reconstruction of portions of the concrete pavement on the Capitol Square is underway under a contract with the CPR Construction Company, Inc. of East Troy, Wisconsin. The contractor is expediting the project in order to complete it prior to the end of May.

During this time, all bus routes will be detoured from the Capitol Square to the Outer Loop, and parking on the Square will be restricted. Although vehicle access to the Square will be possible, there will be periodic closures of the Square at E. Washington Avenue, N. Hamilton Street, State Street, W. Washington Avenue and King Street. Sidewalks and at least two crosswalks at each intersection will be maintained at all times.

Motorists and bicyclists are encouraged to seek alternate routes during this reconstruction project.
