Curbside brush collection by the Streets Division has ended for 2021. Do not set out brush for pickup at this time.

All residents have received their six collection opportunities for the year.

Crews that were collecting brush will transition to collecting leaves and yard waste when that curbside service begins.

Curbside brush pickup will resume in the spring of 2022.

What do I do with brush now?
City of Madison residents can take brush to one of the Streets Division drop-off sites. They are located at 4602 Sycamore Ave and 1501 W. Badger Rd.  Contractors are not allowed to use these drop-off sites for the brush they generate.

Residents are restricted to one trip a day at the sites. The single load of material you may bring in at one time must not be larger than what would fit into the back of a standard-sized pickup truck or what would fill a 5’ x 8’ trailer.

Drop-off site hours are different this year than in years past. Also, the sites will change hours in the winter.

Be sure to check the hours of the drop-off sites before loading your vehicle and driving to a site.

The drop-off site website is www.cityofmadison.com/DropOffSites.

Brush Processing & Mulch Facility
If you are a contractor, or if your load of brush is too large for the drop-off sites, you can take the material to the Streets Division’s brush processing facility at 121 E. Olin Ave.

Brush is accepted there for a small per-ton fee.

Visit the brush processing and mulch center’s website for additional details on cost and operating hours.
