Free, Family-Friendly Event

In September 2013, Madison was recognized as a "Bird City" by the Bird City Wisconsin project. The program is modeled after the Arbor Day Foundations' "Tree City USA" program. We continue the celebration each year with a free, family-friendly event. Join us Sunday, April 19 from 12 - 4pm at the Warner Park Shelter.

Welcome nature lovers, students, families and kids! Celebrate Bird City Day and our beautiful Madison birds and nature with an afternoon of fun events, games and activities. Discover the new Northside Nature Center. Help plant a tree for Arbor Day to replace lost Ash trees. Enjoy Earth Day with a Bird and Nature Walk to officially name the newly restored Castle Creek. Play Bird Bingo. Sing and dance with the Wingin' It Bird Band. Do a Big Sit on Bird Island for the Great Wisconsin Birdathon. Like the Bird City Madison Facebook page or call (608) 698-0104 for more information.
