Address:
Talmadge Street

Narrative:

Firefighters were sent to a possible dryer fire Friday afternoon. The owner of the residence was standing outside waiting to direct them toward the fire.

Crews made their way down to the basement where they located the appliances and cut off the natural gas and electrical supply to them. Though there was smoke coming from the dryer, there were no flames.

Firefighters found smoldering clothes, along with melted and burned plastic, inside the dryer. The clothes were tossed into a nearby sink and soaked in water, and firefighters used their water can to extinguish the remaining smoldering plastic.
