Fire Department

Engine 3 was dispatched to an outside fire. The fire was called in by a neighbor. E3 arrived to find a smoker/grill on fire and the hay around it on fire. The siding to the house had melted as well. E3 deployed an 1 3/4" and extinguished the hay that was on fire and cooled off the siding. Once the fire was extinguished, the siding in that immediate area was removed to check for extension. No extension was noted. The inside of the house was checked with the TIC. The residents at the house did not know the fire was there until E3 arrived. Contact was made with the resident. He stated that he was smoking some fish earlier outside and that must have what caused the flare up on the hay.
