Arrival:
Saturday, May 2, 2015 - 3:57pm
Address:
Wisconsin Ave/E Johnson St
Madison, WI
Narrative:

Engine 1 arrived on scene for a fully involved limousine fire. E1 pulled the front bumper line to extinguish the fire. E1 had a difficult time putting the fire out with just water because of the arcing of the electrical components in the dash of the
vehicle. E1 then switched to Dry Chemical extinguisher, and then CO2, and then finally foam. E1 finally knocked down the fire enough to reach the engine compartment to cut the battery cable. Upon extinguishing the fire, E1 interviewed the driver of the limo. The driver stated he saw light smoke coming out of the defrost vents on the dash. He pulled over and evacuated all his passengers. By the time E1 arrived on scene, the engine compartment and cab were fully involved, but not the passenger compartment. Driver also stated that the vehicle was recently in for service. The engine compartment and the driver cab had incurred too much fire damage for E1 to get the VIN #.
