FEBRUARY 27, 1-3 PM
The Jazz Singer (1927) – The
first “talking” film features Al
Jolson as a Jewish performer torn
between his faith and his love
of popular music. Historically
important because of the film’s
technical aspects but fun to see
and hear Jolson singing such
popular tunes as “Dirty Hands,
Dirty Face,” “Toot Toot Tootsie” and “My Mammy.”
