The LGBTQ+ Senior Alliance presents the annual fall social featuring the Susan Hofer Jazz Band. The Alliance is a collaboration between OutReach and the Madison Senior Center. Their goal is to provide a safe place for older adults and friends to gather and socialize without the pressures and assumptions associated with a bar. If you or someone you know could benefit from this type of event, check us out. Pre-registration isn’t required. We always enjoy a catered meal which is served at 6pm, so a donation of $10, or whatever you can afford, is appreciated.

Susan Hofer
Performing as a jazz vocalist since 1997, Susan Hofer has delighted audiences from Central IL to Chicago, to her current stomping ground of Madison, WI. She grew up playing classical clarinet but harnessed an abiding love of jazz after her father took her to a local jazz festival when she was 12 years old. A style that is at once raw and refined, quiet and bold, Susan brings a soulful passion to her music that is complimented by genuine musical skill and versatility. She can weave a kind of musical alchemy, walking the line between traditional jazz and the outer limits of improvisation.
