Join Maggie Welsh from the Madison Sewing studio to learn how to use sharpies to make your very own silk scarf which you can take home at the end of class! We will be using sharpies to draw patterns on the fabric and then use rubbing alcohol to create a sort of watercolor/tie dye effect. This technique results in a variety of colorful patterns. We will provide all of the materials, including the scarves. This is a great class for all ages! Maggie is a Co-Founder of Madison Sewing Studio, a collaborative space providing membership access to industrial sewing equipment and networking for local textile artists/sewers. MSS also provides a variety of classes from introduction to advanced which do not require membership. The studio is located inside Sector67 at 2100 Winnebago St Madison, WI 53704.
