Madison Parks and Madison Nordic Ski Club are partnering for this FREE cross-country skiing workshop. Learn the basics of classic cross-country skiing with a ski instructor. Experienced skiers from MadNorski will teach and demonstrate all the basic skiing skills needed for beginners and intermediate classic skiers to get started in the sport. This class is recommended for ages 7 and up. After completing the instruction session, head over to the trails and test out your newly learned skills!

The workshop is free - no ski permit is required while attending the workshop. Please bring your own skis and poles if you have them, or arrive 30 minutes early and get fitted for your appropriate sizes. We also have two accessible sit-skis available. 

Location: Meet at the Elver Park Shelter
Start Time: 4pm, if borrowing equipment please plan to arrive at 3:30pm.
What to Bring: your own skis, boots and poles or borrow from the staffed shelter (starting at 3:30pm)
Class Duration: 1 hour (4-5pm)
Cost: Free, includes equipment if needed. No ski permit required while taking the class. 
Ages: appropriate for anyone aged 7 or older
