Cherokee Marsh: A Walk in Harrier Heaven with Bev Cann
Russ Hefty, Madison Parks Conservationist, set a restoration goal for Cherokee Marsh to attract Harriers that need wide open marsh areas, and we are seeing them. Join Bev Cann, a School Naturalist to learn about some of the other fascinating birds, plants, and creatures that call Cherokee home.

Free, family-friendly Bird and Nature Walks are offered year-round on Sunday afternoons 1:30-3:00 pm. Discover the hidden natural areas in four of Madison's most beautiful parks and conservancies. Volunteer trip leaders and participants share their enthusiasm about nature and the birds, plants, and animals. Walks are on easy paths through scenic areas. Enjoy healthy nature recreation with a bit of nature education!

No registration is required. Please wear appropriate clothing, insect repellant, and footwear for the weather and hiking. Dogs are not allowed. Binoculars, cameras and children are welcome! For more information or to volunteer, contact Paul Noeldner (608) 698-0104.
