Warner Park: Winter Nature Recreation with Paul Noeldner
Get the kids outdoors and enjoy some winter fun! Have a cup of hot chocolate, enjoy the fire at the shelter and take a short guided walk 'over the river and through the woods' with Wild Warner Education Chair Paul Noeldner to find winter birds, tracks, and critters such as the Mink that lives by Swallow Bridge. If there is snow, bring sleds, skis and skates and stay a while to enjoy nature recreation on the trails, Warner Pond lagoon and sled hill.

Free, family-friendly Bird and Nature Walks are offered year-round on Sunday afternoons 1:30-3:00 pm by Madison Parks and FUN: Friends of Urban Nature partner groups. Join the FUN!

Discover the scenic paths and hidden natural areas in four beautiful Madison area parks and conservancies throughout the seasons. Trained naturalist and volunteer walk leaders share their enthusiasm about nature and the trees, flowers, butterflies, birds, and animals we see along the way. Enjoy kid friendly healthy outdoor nature recreation and fascinating nature education close to home!

Walks are free and informal and no registration is required. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and hiking. Dogs are not allowed. Binoculars, cameras and children are welcome! For more information or to volunteer, contact Paul Noeldner (608) 698-0104.
