(2013, 64 minutes) March is Women's history month. Join us for a screening of "Feminist: Stories from Women's Liberation, 1963-1970." The film's creator, Jennifer Lee, interviews a dozen or more representative women in depth. One hears the different stories and sometimes conflicting ideas. The joyous uplifting spirit early in the movement comes across as women begin to see the world with new eyes and speak out and march to make permanent changes in millions of lives. Discussion after the film will be led by Eileen Zeiger, a local feminist activist, who has worked in the areas of women's history, violence against women, feminist scholarship, and is active in local efforts to end human trafficking.
