Presenter Ashleigh Hacker will discuss probate and non-probate transfers, what happens when people have no estate plan, the requirements to make a will, practical tips for estate planning, and advance directives. She will include some simple activities that will allow you to think about the concepts in terms of your own life.
Ashleigh is a third-year law student at UW-Madison Law School, and she currently works for a downtown lawf firm that focuses on its practice on family law, including estate planning.  Prior to law school, Ashleigh attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and Sociology and a Certificate in Criminal Justice. Following her graduation, she spent two years working as a Mayoral Clerk for the City of Madison Mayor’s Office.
