You are invited to the unveiling of Downtown Doors at 11am on May 8, 2019 at the opening of Summer in Your City Café at the Top of State Street (11:30 Remarks and the grand unveiling of the two Trompe L’oeil Doors on the wall of the Historical Museum).

Downtown Doors is a partnership between the Madison Arts Commission (MAC) and Madison’s Central Business Improvement District to bring an outdoor gallery to State Street and Downtown Madison. Its purpose to re-imagine hidden and secondary doors along State Street and in the Downtown Core area.

Local artists will transform over 25 doors throughout Downtown Madison for this inaugural project.

Downtown Doors is a collaboration supported by MAC’s Blink temporary public art program with major funding from the Room Tax Commission. In addition, participating property owners sponsored their doors to help pay for a portion of the installation costs to help stretch the BLINK Program funds, and increase the amount of doors that were able to be included in this inaugural outdoor gallery
 
Starting May 8, pick up a collectors Guide at the Downtown Madison Visitor Center by Lisa Link Peace Park, or at the Visitor Booth at the Top of State Street. See if you can find them all. #DowntownDoors
