Black Women Artists Speak invites five Black women creatives, from a variety of artistic genres, including visual arts, poetry, and music, to share their perspectives about how Madison could  provide a healthier, more supportive environment, for them to work as artists here.

This hybrid event will take place in person at the Madison College South Goodman Campus on the second floor in the Community Room, Virtually via Zoom & Facebook Live on the Friends of the Madison Arts Commission Facebook Page.

This panel invites Black women, creative artists to share from several artistic genres, their true experiences in Madison and what should be done to ensure equity and fairness in the Madison arts. The discussion will center on ways in which art institutions, funders and philanthropic communities can be supportive. This panel is sponsored by The Madison Arts Commission and Friends of Madison Arts Commission.
