Crazy Cattails at Warner Park with Kathlean Wolf
Join Nature Foodie Kathlean Wolf on a free, family and kid friendly walk in the Wild Side of Warner Park.  Learn about cattails and other fascinating edible wetland and woodland plants and how birds, bugs, and animals use these important native plant habitats for food and shelter and as a safe nursery to raise their young. Discover the scenic paths and hidden natural areas in four beautiful Madison area parks and conservancies throughout the seasons. Trained naturalist and volunteer walk leaders share their enthusiasm about nature and the trees, flowers, butterflies, birds, and animals we see along the way. Enjoy kid friendly healthy outdoor nature recreation and fascinating nature education close to home!

Walks are free and informal and no registration is required. Please wear appropriate clothing, insect repellant, and footwear for the weather and hiking. Dogs are not allowed. Binoculars, cameras and children are welcome! For more information or to volunteer, contact Paul Noeldner (608) 698-0104.

Walks at Warner Park the 3rd Sunday every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners Wild Warner and Madison Audubon. Meet at the colorful Warner Park Shelter by the lagoon. Parking is available nearby.
