Walk with a Friend with Paul Noeldner ~ Come to Picnic Point and join a Friend of the Lakeshore Preserve to take a walk on easy trails and discover some of the lesser known parts of the 300 acre Lakeshore Nature Preserve.  What's the Biocore Prairie all about?  Who takes care of all those Eagle Heights Garden plots?  Was part of this area really a farm at one time?  What kinds of bird, animal and plant research does the University of Wisconsin help support here?

Join a naturalist for a family-friendly nature walk starting at Picnic Point to discover the UW Lakeshore Nature Preserve including historic woodlands, native mounds, restored Biocore Prairie and beautiful Lake Mendota shoreline. Walks at UW Lakeshore Nature Preserve the 4th Sunday every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve and Madison Audubon Society. Meet at the Picnic Point parking lot on University Bay Drive. Contact 608-698-0104.
