Join local Naturalist Jeff Steele to look for signs of Spring along the Starkweather Bike Path and nature trails next to Starkweather Creek.  Discover the secret natural areas hidden behind the Carpenter-Ridgeway neighborhood just north of East Washington Ave where it crosses Hwy 30!  Free, family friendly nearby nature recreation, no registration required, no pets.

Meeting Location:1220 Carpenter Street, take the Starkweather Bike Path entry to Carpenter-Ridgeway Park, meet by the kiosk. 

Outings in the Starkweather Creek area begin 10:00am at the Goodman Community Center, unless noted otherwise and are held the 3rd Saturday of every month, year-round. Outings include nature walks, canoe/kayak adventures, bicycling tours and more, and are sponsored by the Madison Friends of Urban Nature, Madison Parks, Goodman Community Center, Madison Audubon Society, and Friends of Starkweather Creek.
