Warner Park and Yahara Basin Geology - Meet at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center, 1625 Northport Drive.  Join David Mickelson, UW Emeritus Professor of Geology and Geophysics for a fun and fascinating talk and walk about amazing facts hidden beneath your feet.  Discover the bedrock geology of the historical Yahara River basin that shapes the Wild Side of Warner Park and other Madison area lakes and wetlands we see today. Help find three billion year old boulders called ‘erratics’ – odd large rocks left in the open by melting glaciers!  See if you can spot the ancient hills called drumlins that border Warner Park. Co-sponsored by Wild Warner, Madison Audubon and Madison Parks. Contact Paul Noeldner 608-698-0104.
