In this 5 week program, you will take your intellectual interpretations of a theatre script and translate them into your body and voice to fully act a scene. We will explore techniques to expand your ability to step into a character’s shoes, using texts handpicked to suit the class, ranging from Shakespeare to Albee to Kushner to Holter. Instructor Emily Glick holds a BFA in musical theatre from The University of Michigan, is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, is a professional hand model, and has performed with many theatres in the Chicagoland and New York areas. She has performed with Madison Opera and Children’s Theatre of Madison, and is the current drama director at Memorial High School. Beginners welcome!
