Madison-The new filter to remove iron and manganese from a Madison Water Utility Well at 829 North Thompson Drive was formally dedicated on Saturday, August 15, at 1:30 p.m.

The well has been operating with the filter for several months now and has been producing excellent water with extremely low levels of the groundwater minerals that previously had caused problems.

Mayor Dave Cieslewicz and Water Utility General Manager Tom Heikkinen spoke at the dedication, and utility staff opened the facility for tours.
