The City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin Department of Transportation and Federal Highways Administration are proud to announce the opening of the reconstruction of Mineral Point Road (from Pleasant View Road to the Beltline) and Junction Road (from Isaac Drive to Valley View Road). The work also includes a new bridge and jug handle intersection. This extension completes the second phase of a multi-year project with City of Madison, City of Verona and Dane County to improve the CTH M corridor on Madison’s west side.

This exciting project was funded jointly by the City of Madison, Dane County, Federal Highway Administration & U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin Appropriation funds. It includes the reconstruction of over two miles of urban arterial roadway along with over two miles of the Ice Age Junction Path bicycle and pedestrian multi-use path.

Mayor Soglin, Madison Alderman Paul Skidmore, Dane County Executive Joe Parisi, US Senator Tammy Baldwin’s Deputy State Director Todd Crouch, UW Research Park officials, local business leaders, and other local officials gathered yesterday for the grand opening of this roadway.
