Circus Immersion Camp

Provided by
Wisconsin Youth Company

Circus-One Week Experience |  Spend a week engaged in active, hands-on study of circus arts!  Discover the basics of stilt walking, juggling and low-flying trapeze. Explore the world of physical comedy including pantomime, clowning and mask movement forms, as well as dabbling in tight wire and acrobatics.  All campers will enjoy a field trip to Circus World Museum in Baraboo, WI and will perform their new skills under our very own Big Top!

Circus-Two Week Experience | Spend two weeks continuing your in-depth study of circus arts!  We’ll hone our skills in trapeze, clowning, stilt-walking and acrobatics.  We’ll explore new and different apparatus such as a German Wheel, Rolling Globe and Spanish Web.  We will engage in hands-on investigation of the history, lore and living art of the American Circus daily.  We’ll take a special field trip to Circus World Museum in Baraboo and we’ll develop wildly original circus acts which we will perform under our very own Big Top!

Circus Immersion Camps are staffed by Jacob Mills and Marcia Miquelon of the Wild Rumpus Circus.  Both are lifelong performers and teachers who love sharing the great traditions and disciplines of circus and performing arts with the next generation.

Circus Camp will take place July 29-August 9, 2019
