Beginner's Mind Art

Summer art classes for children ages 7-13 at Hilldale Mall. The instructor Michele Hatchell www.michelehatchell.com has been a public school elementary art teacher for the past twenty one years in Chicago and Madison. She has created individual and public art with folks of all ages in communities, schools, museums and college campuses. Her students challenged Lego to be more gender and culturally inclusive with their belief that Different Is Perfect. www.whatitisisbeautiful.com She believes that all of us can find joy and creativity in our lives be it knitting, creating a beautiful salad or taking time to notice a butterfly fluttering by. Her work with children is child-centered and play based.
