Whether it’s your first performance at Kids in the Rotunda or your 50th performance in the historic Capitol Theater, the Overture Center for the Arts has programs for to educate, entertain and engage your family.
We Educate.
We are proud to offer two performance series for the community, Kids in the Rotunda on Saturday mornings and OnStage Field Trip Performances designed for our school-aged audiences, which prepare our young audiences for our weekend Family Series, professional touring productions for the entire family. We also offer in-school residencies in arts integration for PreK-12 students and new this year, we will be an official Disney Musicals in the Schools partner, bringing theater to more of our elementary students.

Overture Center is certainly known as Wisconsin’s go-to Broadway house, and while we have another enchanting season waiting for you, we’ve got so much more! Our goal is to present shows on our stages that you won’t find anywhere else in the community, from up-and-coming acts to the stars you’ve always wanted to see on our Overture Presents season. We also strive to celebrate our community by showcasing local artists. This year, MadCity Sessions, our local music series, is now LIVE AT THE CAPITOL on our historic Capitol Theater stage, and we again highlight the winners of our annual Overture’s Rising Stars talent search in a headlining show.

While you’re here, we want to make sure you have an experience that goes beyond the “Lights up. Lights down.” performance. Stay after select performances to Meet the Artist during our question and answer sessions with the companies. Or come early for our Get Social cocktail hours.
