CONSTRUCTION OF INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS

On Monday, March 11, 2013, in conjunction with the redevelopment of the 700 and 800 blocks of E. Washington Avenue, City Engineering will begin construction of intersection improvements at the E. Washington Avenue and N. Livingston Street intersection. The project consists of constructing a median break with left turn lanes and traffic signals at the intersection. The project is expected to last through June of 2013.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on E. Washington Avenue in each direction during peak traffic hours for the duration of the project. At limited times, during off-peak traffic hours, E. Washington Avenue may be limited to one lane of traffic.

Delays are expected in the corridor during peak commuting times. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes as well as alternate forms of transportation during this project to help ease construction.
