A night of dancing and fun with Madison area Fathers and Daughters

Madison Parks will host its second annual Daddy-Daughter Valentine Dance, on Saturday, February 9th, 2013 from 6-8pm at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center.

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, the Madison Parks Daddy-Daughter Valentine Dance will give fathers (or adult loved ones) and their daughters a wonderful chance to spend quality time together, just the two of them. Daddy-daughter duos will have the opportunity to show off their dance moves to music played by a live DJ, play some games, and enjoy delicious cake and punch. They will even have the chance to have their picture taken together to take as a memento of the night.

"With so many holidays during the winter season, this is a great opportunity for dads and other loved ones to show how much they love spending time with their daughters," says Superintendent of the Madison Parks Division, Kevin Briski. "This event is a fun for both dads and daughters and will be something that both will look back at fondly in the future."

The event will be held at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center on the north side. In order to participate, Daddy-daughter duos need to purchase tickets ahead of time through Warner Park Community Recreation Center. Tickets can be purchased over the phone (608) 245-3690 x0, or in person during hours of operation. Tickets will be available January 3rd through February 7th. Tickets are $15 per couple and $5 for each additional daughter. Space is limited, so be sure to buy your tickets early.

"Last year's dance was a smash hit," says Anne Whisner, event coordinator for Madison Parks, "So we're really excited about hosting this event again this year. Fathers and daughters will have a blast playing games, munching on food, and showing off their awesome dance moves on the dance floor."
