Two boaters were rescued from Lake Monona after their sailboat overturned on the water. The MFD Lake Rescue Team responded from Olin Park and were directed to the proper location, near Tonyawatha Trail in Monona, by Monona Fire Department.

Both boaters were wearing life jackets and neither was injured. The Lake Rescue Team brought the individuals aboard their rescue boat and provided dry blankets. The team then recovered the sailboat and towed it along as they returned the boaters safely to shore.
