Fire Department

The Madison Fire Department was called to a garage fire on the 4200 block of Jerome Street. Fire was showing from the detached garage when Engine Co. 3 arrived on scene. The crew went straight in and began an aggressive fire attack from the side service door. Fire attack continued through a pair of windows as crews gained control of the fire.

The MFD Fire Investigation Team examined the scene. The fire is estimated to have caused $40,000 in damage, but no occupants were displaced or injured. The fire is considered accidental in nature; the exact cause could not be determined.
