Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on westbound I-90 overnight, where a vehicle crashed and one person was seen walking away with a head injury. Engine Co. 8 arrived to find the vehicle fully involved with flames extending to the grass and a nearby tree. Engine 8 used approximately half of its 500-gallon tank to extinguish the fire.

The vehicle was a total loss. Firefighters, paramedics, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office searched the area for the driver with the help of a K9, but no involved parties could be located.
