Narrative:

Firefighters were called to the Warner Park Dog Park after a dog ran onto an icy pond and fell into the water. Two people attempted to rescue the dog, but they themselves fell through the ice.

When Engine Co. 10 arrived, onlookers directed them to the exact location of the incident. Both people who had fallen through the ice were now out of the water but advised they did not want medical attention. Meanwhile, the crew spotted the dog about 50 feet from shore still in the pond.

One firefighter donned a life vest and a safety rope which the rest of the crew would hold from shore as he proceeded into the frigid water. With a pike pole in hand, he hook the dog’s collar, pulled the dog back onto the ice, and returned the dog to its owner.
