MFD Responding to Serious Crash at Mineral Point Road & Commerce Drive
Madison, WI
One person has died as a result of their injuries from the crash at Mineral Point Road & Commerce Drive. In addition to the two patients referenced in the original report, MFD was notified by dispatchers that a third patient was pinned in their vehicle. CPR was in progress when MFD arrived on scene, and resuscitative efforts continued as MFD crews worked to extricate the patient from their vehicle. The patient did not survive their injuries. Madison Police remain on scene to investigate the crash, and the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office has been notified.

The Madison Fire Department has been dispatched to the intersection of Mineral Point Road and Commerce Drive for a three-vehicle crash. Eastbound traffic on Mineral Point Road has been shut down at Junction Road.
Three injuries have been reported to paramedics and EMTs, and two patients have been transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
