Narrative:

Three people were injured, and two taken to the hospital, following a traffic crash that closed down part of Mineral Point Road Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Mineral Point Road and Rosa Road. Two vehicles were involved, both significantly damaged with resulting debris creating a hazard for other motorists. Ladder Company 2 blocked the westbound lanes to redirect traffic as they assessed other hazards and evaluated the patients involved.

Three ambulances were dispatched to care for three separate patients on scene. One person, who was wearing a seatbelt and did not lose consciousness or suffer significant injuries, stated she wished to be seen at the hospital for a full evaluation. A second patient in similar condition told paramedics she did not want to be taken to the hospital. Paramedics told her to seek medical attention on her own should any symptoms or pain worsen. A third patient asked to be taken to the hospital to be seen for symptoms that arose after the crash. He was transported to the ER with non-life threatening injuries.
