A neighbor called for help when an elderly woman fell in her home Saturday afternoon and needed assistance getting up. Engine Company 3 came to her aid. It was noted while firefighter/EMTs were still on scene that her lifeline alarm wasn’t working properly. The crew called the company on her behalf to determine what was wrong. The lifeline alarm company reset the system remotely so it would work properly should the woman need to use it again. Before taking off, Engine Company 3 stayed behind to check her vitals, make sure she was feeling fine, and even fixed her an oatmeal breakfast.
