Ladder Company 6 responded to a home on Doncaster Drive after a large limb, measuring about two and a half feet in diameter and about 100 feet long, broke off a tree and crushed a nearby garage. A power lines that provides electricity to three houses were caught up in the branches, posing a hazard to the area residents.

While the branch was supported by the garage walls for the time being, it had crushed the roof trusses and there was concern the branch would shift, taking the power lines down with it.

MGE was asked to respond and were advised a chain saw would be needed to tackle this limb. Nobody was injured.
