Firefighters were called to a residence on Trailsway to check on someone who was grilling on a patio.

Engine Company 10 arrived to find a resident had two active charcoal grills on a ground-level patio. He said the grills flared up a bit when he first started them.

Although the situation appeared to be under control by the time firefighters arrived, the crew did note the grills were too close to the building. The resident was reminded that the grills must be at least 15 feet from any structure.

Engine Company 10 helped the man move his grills to an appropriate location before making themselves available for the next emergency call.
