Arrival:
Thursday, October 12, 2017 - 9:14am
Address:
60 N. Park Street
Madison, WI
Narrative:

The use of gas-powered power washers in a Park Street garage is believed to be the reason carbon monoxide detectors activated Thursday morning.

Engine Company 4 responded to 60 N. Park Street as two individuals were using the power washers and blowers in a large garage. Doors left open allowed carbon monoxide from the gas-powered machines to enter interior hallways in the building.

Firefighters informed the individuals that they need to keep the doors closed to prevent the toxic gas from entering residential areas. Engine 4 ventilated the hallways and checked the remainder of the building to ensure the atmosphere was safe.
