Narrative: 

Firefighters were sent to a downtown apartment after a pan of grease caught fire in the kitchen. The resident was able to extinguish the fire with baking soda just before firefighters arrived.
 
While they inspected the area for fire extension, Engine Company 1 sent the resident downstairs so paramedics could evaluate minor burns she suffered during the incident.
 
The range hood above the stove sustained minor damage. Firefighters cleared the apartment of smoke, and the occupant was able to return after being seen by paramedics.
