1200 block McKenna Blvd.
Madison, WI
Narrative:

A Mt. Horeb man drove over to Elver Park on Madison’s west side Tuesday to enjoy a game of Frisbee golf, but the game never really got off the ground.

After parking his car in the nearby lot, he headed toward the course. About ten minutes later, glanced back only to discover his car was on fire.

Smoke was still coming from the engine compartment of the Grand Prix when firefighters arrived on Ladder 2. The owner offered to open his trunk for firefighters, and also expressed that his wallet was still in the car.

Firefighters opened the hood and applied water and foam to extinguish the fire. They retrieved the man’s wallet and returned it to him. Once it was safe to do, the man was able to retrieve the rest of his belongings.

The exact cause of the fire is unknown but firefighters believe it was an accidental fire.
