MFD Ladder Company 8 was called to the JC Penney department store at East Towne Mall for an elevator stuck on the second floor. Firefighters shut down power to the elevator, at which point they were able to open the door and remove a member of the custodial staff from the elevator.
 
Store management was advised to keep the elevator out of service until it could be repaired.
