Narrative:

Multiple people called 911 to report a dumpster fire at an apartment complex on Dryden Drive Friday afternoon.

The dumpster was situated next to a shed in the rear of the apartment complex. Engine Company 10 used approximately 150 gallons of water and foam to knock down the fire, which extended to the nearby shed and into the eaves. Firefighters forced open the shed door to extinguish any fire still burning inside.

The dumpster and shed siding were damaged by the fire, but the contents inside the shed only suffered minimal damage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
