Narrative: 

A Franklin Ave. resident says she was borrowing her brother’s vehicle for the day as she prepared to move to a new place. When she started the engine he boyfriend saw sparks underneath and urged her to get out of the truck. As she exited, the engine compartment burst into flames.
 
The vehicle was fully involved when firefighters arrived at 9:58 p.m. The truck fire did not threaten nearby buildings. Firefighters swiftly knocked it down with water and foam from the front bumper line on Engine 9.
