Narrative:

An air compressor at the PDQ on Northport Drive is temporarily out of service following an electrical problem Tuesday.

Engine 10 was called over at 3:47 p.m. after an electrical outlet  began arcing. An employee at the gas station directed firefighters to the outdoor outlet, which had been supplying power to an air compressor.

The outlet was charred and melted but situated approximately 80 feet from the PDQ store and the fuel pumps. Firefighters confirmed there was no and unplugged the air compressor, finding the plug attached to it was also charred. One breaker on the stores electrical panel tripped as a result of the problem.

Firefighters taped off the area around the air compressor to discourage people from trying to use it. An electrician will be called to make the necessary repairs.
